PROJECT: SGHWR Secondary Containment

Project Overview

BD Nuclear were commissioned to support our client with cutting services and the supply of labour. The cutting operations saw the introduction of diamond wire sawing of metal. The first items of note to be cut with wire were the turbine rotors. Once established the diamond wire was utilised to size reduce numerous items of stream train plant including feed heaters, turbine casings, refuelling machine, fuel flasks and large pipe-work sections

The labour provided supported a host of decommissioning activities and fully integrated with the client’s team. Works included size reduction and dismantling of plant and decontamination operations.
