PROJECT: Underwater Cutting Trials

Project Overview

BD Nuclear have successfully undertaken the first stage of trials for underwater electric tracksawing using the latest cutting technology for size reduction in a highly contaminated area.  A key asset in this challenge has been our ownership of a versatile 72,000 litre underwater test facility at our Portsmouth premises. Here, such solutions can be developed and tested on non-active items to demonstrate to customers both the efficiency of the process and the achievement of the required minimisation of waste volume.
