Project Overview
The client needed to remove contaminated steel tubes from a concrete surround. The contaminants were relatively low level and the tubes filled with foam to stabilise. This allowed the work to be undertaken safely in the outside environment.
To enable the tubes to be removed a Track Saw was mounted on the concrete surround and deployed to cut free the tubes. Once freed, the tubes were lifted clear and the remaining concrete clad broken away. This allowed the relatively small volume of contaminated tubes to be disposed of as active waste and the concrete to be released as clean material.
